About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and community-minded Transport Officer to join our team. This role is responsible for providing safe and timely transport services for clients and staff, ensuring that community members can access vital health and support services.

The position involves regular interaction with clients, so a friendly, respectful and professional manner is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely transport clients to and from appointments, programs, and community activities.
  • Maintain a regular transport schedule in coordination with service teams.
  • Ensure vehicles are clean, fuelled, and roadworthy at all times.
  • Complete basic vehicle checks and report any maintenance issues promptly.
  • Provide respectful assistance to clients, including those with mobility needs.
  • Follow all TAMS-AC policies, including workplace health & safety and infection control protocols.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • A safe and responsible driver with a current NSW Driver’s License
  • Holds a current Working With Children Check (WWCC) and National Police Check.
  • Reliable, punctual, and organised.
  • Able to communicate respectfully and effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
  • Physically able to assist clients with mobility needs if required.
  • Previous experience in a similar transport or community support role is desirable but not essential.
