About the Role

We are seeking an organised and proactive HR & Recruitment Assistant to support the HR Manager in recruitment and day-to-day HR administration. This is a pivotal support role for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has strong attention to detail, and values confidentiality.

The role is ideal for someone with strong administrative or PA experience who wants to step into the HR space and learn on the job.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment administration: posting job ads, managing applications, scheduling interviews, reference checks, and preparing contracts.
  • Assist with staff onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring all checklists and paperwork are completed.
  • Maintain staff records, including compliance requirements (WWCC, Police Checks, registrations, training).Support the HR Manager with meeting preparation, note-taking, and acting as a confidential witness when required.
  • Provide general administrative support across HR and People & Culture.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has strong organisational and administrative skills, ideally with experience in a PA, admin, or recruitment support role.
  • Is confident with technology and systems (e.g. Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, HR platforms), and can quickly learn new programs or processes.
  • Is proactive, resourceful, and able to figure things out independently — knowing when to ask for help if needed.
  • Understands the importance of confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive matters.
  • Has excellent communication skills and confidence in dealing with staff at all levels.
  • Is eager to learn and grow in the HR/People & Culture space.

What We Offer

  • Part-time or full-time role, flexible for the right person.
  • Supportive team environment where you will be mentored and trained.
  • An opportunity to contribute to an organisation making a meaningful difference in community health
  • Competitive salary, based on skills and experience.
